Gulf Academy

The Gulf Academy Project aims to produce a feasibility study and business case for a community-controlled facility to educate young people in the Gulf Region in a holistic way by focusing on their cultural, social, and emotional needs whilst providing quality training and education. The project was initially developed by Bynoe Community Advancement Co-operative Society and supported by many organisations across the Lower Gulf region, will involve extensive consultation across the region and is also supported by a strong steering committee consisting of prominent leaders in the community. If you would like to contribute to this project please contact admin@gulf-savannah.com.au. This project is due to be completed by the end of June 2021.

Protected Cropping Feasibility Study

The Protected Cropping Feasibility Study will look at the viability and suitability of a protected cropping facility to be established in Burketown that will service the greater Gulf Region. The project will likely become the catalyst for GSD to apply for future funding to build such a facility. This project commenced in late 2020 and is due to be completed by the end of June 2021.
